Founded in 2014 by Tony Gurule, Sierra Mattress Company started with the idea of offering the local community an alternative to the big furniture/mattress chain stores. We knew you work hard for your money and deserve a good night’s rest on a high-quality mattress at an affordable price, along with superior customer service. We also knew that given the choice, doing business with a locally-owned mattress store, would be preferred. The concept worked and the local community has been amazing in supporting us. As the company continued to grow and prosper, Tony partnered with local native Matt Freeman as Tony aspired of expanding the company. Tony and Matt are both committed to offering the best mattress buying experience in the greater Reno, Sparks and Truckee Meadows communities.

We have been voted Best of Reno in 2021, 2022 and 2023 by the Reno Gazette Journal’s annual reader survey. Nearly 20,000 Reno Gazette-Journal readers cast their votes for their favorite businesses in Reno/Sparks.
